In 2024, the first Red Cross Ambulance Teacher Initial Training Course of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics was successfully held at the Jiangxi Red Cross Emergency Ambulance Training Center from January 19th to 24th. The training was supported by the Health Education Campus First Aid Project of the China Education Development Foundation, covering 20 faculty members from multiple departments such as the Teaching College, the University Hospital, the Security Office, the affiliated High School, and the Retirement Department, further increasing the numbers of ambulance teachers in our university and enhancing the ability of campus first aideducation.
The teachers of the Jiangxi Provincial Red Cross Emergency Ambulance Training Center taught the trainees the new concept of ambulance, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, hemostasis bandaging, accidental injury and other related knowledge and skills and the concept of caring for life through theoretical explanations, practical exercises, group exercises andobservation.
During the training, it coincided with the snowfall and low temperature weather, and the participating teachers were not afraid of the cold, their enthusiasm for learning was high, and they completed all the courses such as theoretical skills learning and assessment. Serious study in class and consolidation of after-class practice have become the learning norm of each participating teacher. Through systematic learning, the participating teachers have mastered the knowledge and skills of scientific rescue and psychological care, and deeply understood the spiritual core of ‘life first, people first’.
Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics as the first batch of school first aid education pilot units, has been solidly promoting the work of first aid education, the successful completion of the training, our school Red Cross registered first aid teachers will reach more than 30 people, is the province’s leading universities. The participating teachers have said that they will use what they have learned to ensure the safety of teachers and students on campus and contribute to the social service of first aideducation.
