On July 12, the 2024 Chinese University Students' Air Volleyball Championship, hosted by the Chinese University Sports Association, concluded in Changzhou, Jiangsu. Thirty-six teams and more than 300 athletes from universities across the country gathered at the Xue Jia Comprehensive Fitness Center in the Xinbei District for intense and exciting competition. Our school sent 14 players to participate in the men's and women's Group A competitions. Under the leadership of Deputy Dean Genglong Tu, Teacher Qionghua Huang, and Teacher Yue Ma of the School of Sports, the men's team overcame all difficulties and won the silver medal, while the women's team overcame difficulties and won the bronze medal. At the same time, JUFE teachers and students demonstrated a spirit of unity and tenacity during the competition and won the "Sportsmanship Award" of thecompetition.

During the preparation period, the members of the school's air volleyball team, with the goal of "striving to win and making progress," conducted long-term arduous training, sweating and working hard, tempering their will, and improving theirstrength.

In the competition, the school's men's air volleyball team, which was participating in the national competition for the first time, dared to fight and won all the matches to advance to the final. The players were full of spirit and cooperated tacitly in the game, with flying spikes, net rushes, and clever passes, showing exquisite ball skills and good team cooperation awareness. In the final, the team members, after losing the first set, withstood the pressure and tenaciously brought the game into the third set, and finally won the silver medal with a two-point difference, creating the best record of JUFE men's air volleyball team in the nationalcompetition.

As the runner-up of the last competition, the JUFE women's volleyball team, which lacked many main players, encountered strong opponents in the first day of the competition and was not the opponent's match. The coaches and team members worked together to actively adjust their mentality and tactics, and with exquisite ball skills and tacit cooperation, they showed a strong team foundation in difficulties, played a small climax, and finally won the thirdplace.

The excellent results achieved in this competition are a rich reward for the hard training and struggle of JUFE teachers and students, and also fully demonstrate the school's high attention and strong support for sports.
