On August 21, the 2024 Jiangxi Province Sports Volunteer Teaching Sports Teacher Training Class, which lasted for 6 days, officially commenced at the Mailu Campus of Jiangxi University of Finance andEconomics.

Mr. Wu Dong, Head of the Youth and Sports Division of the Jiangxi Provincial Sports Bureau, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Mr. Wu expressed his sincere hope that the participating physical education teachers would cherish this learning opportunity, effectively enhance their sports teaching skills, convey scientific sports concepts to grassroots schools, and inspire local youth to engage in sports activities in various ways, leading more young people to love sports and growhealthily.

Dean Xu Xu Chuan presided over the opening ceremony. He emphasized the significance of this sports teacher training class and summarized the fruitful results of the Jiangxi sports volunteer service projects in the first half of 2024. Under the guidance of the Jiangxi Provincial Sports Bureau, with the support of Jingdezhen Ceramic University, Gannan Normal University, Xinyu University, Yichun University, and other brother universities, a total of 98 students majoring in physical education went to 34 primary and secondary schools in 5 counties of Jiangxi Province to carry out sports volunteer teaching services, covering more than 37,000 students, effectively alleviating the shortage of physical education teachers in grassroots schools. Dean Xu put forward several expectations for the participating physical education teachers: first, to study hard and actively participate; second, to interact and reflect; third, to self-manage and abide by discipline; and fourth, to respect each other and continue tolearn.

This training class was hosted by Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, and it specially invited well-known scholars in the field of sports education in Jiangxi Province and many excellent teachers from the School of Physical Education of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics to teach. It also carefully arranged a rich on-site teaching. More than 30 physical education teachers from Jingdezhen, Ganzhou, Xinyu, Yichun, Nanchang Economic Development Zone, and other places participated in thistraining.
