On October 13, 2022, the 42nd SportsGamesof ouruniversityopened. ZhangZuping, member of the party leading group and deputy director of Jiangxi Provincial Sports Bureau, and ZhangJianye, director of the Competitive Sports Department of the Provincial Sports Bureau, were invited to attend the opening ceremony andwatchedthe athletes' competition.Secretary of the Party Committee,Professor LuFucai,Professor DengHui,the President of the University andProfessor GongJianfei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, and otheruniversityleaders attended the event. After the opening ceremony, Director ZhangZuping, accompanied by Professor LiChungen, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the University,investigatedon the‘integration of sports andeducation’.The heads of ourschooland other relevant unitsparticipatedaswell.

Deputy Director ZhangZupinglistened to the report of XuXuchuan, Dean of our school on the development of sports in our school. Two sides had in-depth communication on matters such as school-local cooperation. Later, Deputy Director ZhangZupingvisited the University Museum, inspected our sports venues, and visited and comforted the athletes who were preparing for the Provincial Games. He pointed out that the Party Central Committee and the State Council have attached great importance to the development of sports since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the provincial party committee and provincial government have put forward new and clear requirements for sportswork.

Deputy Director ZhangZupingfully affirmed the development of sports in ouruniversity in recent years. He pointed out that theSchool ofSports of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics has actively planned, taken the initiative, carried out reform and innovation, continuously advanced various sports undertakings, made great progress in teaching, training, scientific research and other work, and cultivated many outstanding talents. He hopes that our school will take the Provincial Games as an opportunity to strive to be strong, continuously strengthen teaching quality, improve the construction of sports facilities, and enhance the quality ofphysicaleducation.
