The 2019 Jiangxi Orienteering championship was successfully concluded in Dongxiang District, Fuzhou City on July 10-15. In order to test the level of orienteering and promote the better development ofthisprogram, Xuxuchuan, vice president of the College ofPhysicalEducationas teamleader, YuWenbinas the head coach, Yan Wei and Yujunqianas the assistant coaches organizedateam to participate in thecompetition.

Jiangxi youthorienteering championship is the highestorienteering event jointly sponsored by the Provincial Sports Bureau and the Department ofEducation, which is held once a year. There are altogether 274 athletes from 19 university teams includingDonghuaUniversity ofScience andTechnology and Jiangxi Agricultural University. The scale of the competition is large and the level ishigh.

Ourcollegehas selected eight team members. After half a year's preparation and one month's intensive training, we lay a solid foundation for the success of the competition. During the competition, Fuzhou is dominated by rainy days, and the venues are all located in the wild. The heavy rain has created a huge challenge tothephysicalagilityandmentalityof the competitors. It is that under the very hard environment, all the athletes in ourcollegehave been courageous and indomitable,andhave made outstandingachievements:DuanHuilin,NieYuanyuanandZhuHuilinwon the first place in the women's teamcompetition, Li Xi'an, WangHaonan, Su Hang and ZhuBingwenwon the first place in the men's relay race and ChenTingjiewon the first place in the middle distance race. In addition, they also won the first prize of women's groupAand the second prize of men'sgroup.

In the competition, the athletes showed the spirit of perseverance and never giving up, which well explained the excellent quality of“perseverance andfirmness”ofJUFEmotto of“faith, sensitivity, honesty andwillpower”. Their achievements added luster to the realization ofJUFE’sdream of“one hundred year famousuniversity”.
